^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) is a group of physicians & former journalists, formed in April 2020, that has advocated for various unapproved, dubious, and ineffective treatments for COVID-19 (e.g. hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, & other miscellaneous combinations of drugs/vitamins). The group was led from the start by Paul E. Marik and Pierre Kory, both of whom would later join conservative or right-wing groups promoting COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and misinformation ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In August 2024 both men had their medical board certifications revoked. ABIM isnt a licensing body, this doesnt mean their license to practice medicine has been taken away Its seems both have been making a truckload more money mainly from prescribing ivermectin You want to believe ivermectin is just something MAGA folks take. But when you have a virus that has fatality rate of less than 0.1% now and accepted studies that say meeeeeh maybe ivermectin is at best going improve your chances by 1% but is otherwise just as safe as panadol, well why the hell not take it if you are high risk You got to ask yourself why people arent getting decertified for prescribing panadol for covid, which was an actual thing for while in some jurisdictions Its still political, these guys are making 4 times the bank just over political crap With all due respect, without board certification there are ramifications you may not be aware of. They will have a great deal of difficulty getting hospital privileges and collecting insurance reimbursements. They would also have to work for themselves because they would be virtually unemployable, and patients would have to pay them directly. I notice how you so often brush things off so casually but in the real world there are consequences. The truth is they're a disgrace to the medical profession. |
