Closing in on a choice of running mate, Harris will meet with finalists Sunday
As Kamala Harris closes in on her selection of a running mate this weekend, a renewed focus is being placed on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, people familiar with the search told CNN, even as the vice president continues to weigh whether Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro or Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly would help deliver a victory in their battleground states.
Harris is conducting face-to-face interviews with the final contenders, two sources said, with Walz poised to meet with her on Sunday. She will also interview Shapiro and Kelly on Sunday, according to a source familiar.

All three of the states represented there are important in the electoral college - although as we know it was Pennsylvania that got Biden over the line. I think talking to all three is a good idea to see who has the best feel for all three states despite being the Governor of just the one. It'll be hard because the three states are so very different, not just to each other but also to Kamala's home state (California). The original plan was to hold a joint rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday with her VP choice. If the timeline holds, we'll know today or early tomorrow morning.

It's great news that Kamala Harris is leading in most National polls, but this election, like all national Presidential elections is about the electoral college i.e., the seven swing states. Trump is within the margin of error in all seven states, the entire election could come down to the debate in September Trump wants FOX News to hold the debate while Kamala Harris wants the debate on ABC as previously agreed upon. 8/5/2024 Donald Trump's Polling Losing Streak Grows as He Goes a Week Without WinDonald Trump has not won a national poll in around a week, with Kamala Harris taking the lead in at least four of the most recent polls. Since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed his vice president as the Democratic candidate in the November election, Harris has been narrowing a race that had seen Trump soaring ahead in the polls for some time.

The Daily Mail is not a reliable source. It has turned into an array of clickable teasers where the point is buried several paragraphs in. What I really loath is the way they caption the occasional good paparazzi image of someone even remotely "famous". They always try to make it seem as if the victim of their needless attention is actually conveying a thought to them. Reminds me of all the psychics I run into on news site comment threads. It's amazing how many times I see someone start off with "White people think they can just ................" Having so much mind reading happening these days has really transformed how we get to the truth of the matter!

Assuming in a certain way can be defamation and I know a great deal about that (see three of the five times I've won in court). Media like the Daily Mail don't give a stuff about that and they are nowhere near the only ones. Murdoch's media empire are great examples although they are more biased than outrightly wrong all the time like the Daily Mail. Tabloid journalism has a lot to answer for, because it gives rise to amateurs who think they can be a journo just be saying so and running their own website or joining one that welcomes such rats (see for example Rebel News). Lolz, arent you describing yourself there? You run your own website no one reads

Indeed, I have no interest in being famous to any degree. Maybe if I could do a few magic tricks, but otherwise I'm a wallflower and prefer it that way. I find a lot of the folks who produce instructional videos are way too fixated with showing off their face and gabbing like it's an hourly job. Some of them are freaky looking goomers too. So all you get from me these days is my voice. Since I am certain everyone in our wealthy ruling class is gaming the system to the disadvantage of Americans. I don't think many would mind if they kept their graft in house, but they don't. They make investments using a barge full of insider information that the public never sees. It's better than Vegas for nearly every pampered azz in Washington.

No - I don't claim to be a journalist. 98 hits (deducting bots) in August alone says you have no idea. 97 are you

Today is the day
Harris expected to announce her VP pick Tuesday ahead of their Philadelphia rally
The rollout is likely to look similar to past major announcements, including digital video and social media components, as well as a fundraising appeal, two sources said.
WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to reveal her vice presidential pick Tuesday, ahead of their first rally together in Philadelphia in the evening, according to two sources familiar with the plan.
These people cautioned that the timing of the announcement is still subject to change based on when Harris makes her final decision or whether there’s a media leak that affects the current plan.
The Tuesday rollout is likely to look similar to past major announcements, including digital video and social media components, as well as a fundraising appeal, these sources said. The Harris campaign will also disseminate various text messages to its supporters throughout the day, as has been a common practice in the past around big moments. The exact details are still being hammered out.

Kamala Harris chooses Tim Walz as Vice Presidential running mate
US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice-presidential running mate over Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, it was announced on Tuesday.
Walz will now accompany Kamala Harris in her campaign to be elected as US president in the November elections.
Harris announced her choice before a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Walz, 60, is a former educator and retired Army officer. He has gained popularity due to his Midwestern battleground state and friends in Congress. He served as Minnesota's Governor from 2019, and again in 2022 when he was reelected. He has steered Minnesota toward liberal policies including guaranteeing abortion rights, requiring paid family leave and incentivizing affordable housing.

BTW, its fun to blame the democrats
But the recent stock market crash is really about the AI bubble bursting
AI that never was AI, Artificial Intelligence still doesnt exist yet
A lot of people losing a crapload of money on AI promises that never eventuated
Pattern matching a million images or thousands of human programming responses into search trees isnt AI
As usual 99.9% of everyone in that field didnt know what they are talking about, and the 0.1% did warn everybody

She chooses an old white guy as VP? Huh? Seriously, is she trying to lose? Actually, he only 60 years old (and she is 59) but yes, he looks older (btw he has a very sharp mind and a quick wit) Kamala Harris has all of the momentum in the world, but she may have finally made her first mistake by choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro who is very popular and could have easily delivered the state of Pennsylvania. It's all about the electoral college,

What I mean by momentum............
Harris opens up lead over Trump among young voters, independents
Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has opened up a lead against Republican rival former President Trump, particularly among young voters and independents, according to a survey released Monday.
The Morning Consult polling shows the vice president leading Trump 48 percent to 44 percent, the largest lead for a Democratic presidential candidate over Trump in nearly a year.
Harris has a 5-point edge among independents surveyed, 42 percent to 37 percent, and a 9-point lead among voters under 35, 49 percent to 40 percent.
Both groups are considered key indicators of swing voter trends, the pollster noted.
President Biden’s final head-to-head tracking in the same poll against Trump last month showed he trailed in both categories. Among young voters, Trump held a 9-point lead against Biden.

She completely flipped the narrative in this election, and I just hope she doesn’t lose the momentum she gained by choosing Waltz over Shapiro With Pennsylvania in her back pocket, it was a sure victory in November - Now there's a degree of uncertainty.

Oh I don't know about that, Coldwater. I have a feeling she's going to pick up states Trump won in 2020. And I suggest blocking Mustard Tiger as I did as soon as he arrived. He brings nothing to the conversation but abuse. All of the posts flagged by Pro Boards were his. I checked. That doesn't surprise me about MT

Whats this momentum you speak of? all the main polls have them neck and neck And Trump has the abortion thing against him, which is huge, at least a 3rd of all ladies going to vote mainly based on that Two weeks ago, Biden was being crushed and had absolutely no shot in November short of trump being sentenced to prison (which btw at the Harris/Walz Rally in Philidelphia tonight) the crowd 15,000 strong were chanting "Lock Him Up"
