I doubt she has the kind of support Obama had. Maybe she's claiming on her rise to VP. After all, she helped Joe get 81 million votes, MORE than Obama. Obama doesn't seem enthusiastic and Biden is looking for his next cup of pudding. So Harris is dangling in the wind. Debating Trump is not likely to go very well.
But then, nobody seems to be saying it's her "turn" to be president like they did with Hillary. Harris has to debate the architect of Clinton's failed machine. And Hillary is a lot smarter than Kamala. So maybe Hillary will pull an open convention action after Trump hands Harris her hat.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Democrat Kamala Harris leads Republican Donald Trump 42% to 37% in the race for the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential election, according to an Ipsos poll published on Thursday.
The poll found Harris had widened her lead since a July 22-23 Reuters/Ipsos survey, which found her up 37% to 34% over Trump.
