Why are forums so hard to find without insider information. When I got banned from hip I sadly went looking for one, but couldn't find any.

Why are forums so hard to find without insider information. When I got banned from hip I sadly went looking for one, but couldn't find any. Because it's an archaic platform. These days people are either deep into the regimented code side, like reddit or they are python-bases fluff factories like Facebook and Youtube. This sort of basic text and still images, arranged as thousands of 3X5 cards, is technically old fashioned. But it's reliable, like vacuum tubes! |

Don't see why it would be archaic. well you answered your own question here. things that aren't narcissistic and insane are archaic these days. the only old school forum i am aware of that still seems to be thriving is gamefaqs. i don't post there, but it's fun to pop in occasionally and read the angry, broken english arguments about whatever video game i'm currently playing. |

I'm not saying it's inferior. Plenty of archaic means are still in use like post offices and libraries. All I mean is that communications has evolved while forums remained basically the same. The new generations may prefer a different interface, something in Python that has images everywhere and lots of things that flash up to let you know you have fans. |
