ah yes, I think i remember the same thing when I was posting on Gaia. Hope you're enjoying your Sunday, Rue (I guess your Sunday is kinda already over over there huh? ) 6.33pm.. but the days are all meaningless anyway.. haha. it's weird, because i don't work Nov-April anyway.. so now i haven't worked since the end of October. and the earliest i'll be opening the shop is July. And that is IF there isn't some second wave of Covid that stops everyone moving about. We're a tourist shop. Life's weird. I am good though. Your new job going well? wait... you run your own shop?? Yeah, its good. When you take on a single client and exclusively work for them you feel more like an employee than an independent business owner, but it is a steady paycheck at a time when a lot of people are out of work. So I recognize that I am lucky. Hopefully this time next year the world will have stabilized and my food truck becomes a reality

You can take a picture of where a black hole isn't...this will yield a sort of 3-D "shadow" that you can call the black hole's image or picture or whatever.

Sure you can, in the x-ray band! heh.. it was the source of a great and passionate debate on Hip ; ) I can see how it might. To get a series of x-ray images of a black hole we have to wait until a predictable x-ray source like a pulsar back lights it with x-rays. Then it's just a matter of measuring x-rays on our side by mapping the part of the sky that has a suspected black hole (still a theoretical anomaly) and make an image of the area where the x-rays drop off. So it's a bit of future prediction and some events might not be happening for decades to come. Of course an x-ray is a penetrating silhouette of matter as opposed to light photons bouncing off of matter. X-Ray photons travel at the same speed as light, but are able to travel through matter where light cannot. A problem with x-Ray astronomy is that x-rays are always diverging from the source. So the image has to be corrected for the oblique geometry of the measurement.

Thats dope! But why is it seasonal? You mentioned being by the ocean. Do you sell beach attire, surf boards, stuff like that?
