We sell wetsuits (midrange ones, not serious surfing-for-six-hours-in-winter ones, but people in summer) and body boards. Not serious stuff. Clothes is a brand based in nearby Devon called Lazy Jacks. They began as "yacht wear" but they've expanded. it's athleisureish with some pretty flowery tops and stuff.
Lots of random stuff.. usually nautical theme. homeware, gifts, soaps, magnets, keyrings. Locally made things, including stuff I make out of driftwood. Jewellry. Cheap made-in-china-toys which I am slowly moving away from. its been a gift and clothes shop for like 60 years. We just carried on with what they did before. buckets and spades. that stuff is all such crap now too though. i want to start selling some metal ones. i've seen them. and people are getting to a place where they care enough to pay more for the environment. secondhand books.

it's just a very small fishing village. nearest town is twelve miles away. in the winter it's dead. there would be no customers. maybe like, one or two a week.

sounds like a cool shop though ! and if ever I am down there I will buy something ! been to Cornwall twice (polperro )would go more often if we had the weather

but you're also very self-aware and can often take things in good fun. a good quality.

just make it very clear if something's going too far because nobody ever wants you to feel genuinely hurt.

things can feel very different depending on how a person is feeling on any given day, and we can't see that stuff over a screen. I think that's the source of misunderstanding sometimes.. If i'm a jovial mood and i can't easily SEE that someone else is not feeling that mood, i'm not going to know when my jokes might not be appreciated.
