Yesterday I saw 7 black cats in my back yard. Their names are Baby Mama, Girl, and Larry.  It is raining non-stop. No wind...so far so good. I have to go take out trash, and I'm going to have to take out rain gear and dang boots. That little walk is 1/2 acre away, up and down a couple sets of steps. gad It also occurs to me to be grateful I have no problem walking down there with 2 [sorta] heavy trash bags. Living in the woods is a wee alarming when the wind picks up after the ground get soaked real good.  But the cats are lounging in the catio and the back porch and they are fine. Having this multitude of creatures depending on me, and them appearing to be well and happy always lightens my load. |

I don't know why I said it like that.
I guess I mean that along with the responsibility of helping these creatures comes the most amazing feeling of knowing you are doing a right thing.
I'm sure everyone has heard that when you are feeling low to do something for someone else...and that will make you feel better. No doubt that could have been more eloquently said, but I'm sure you all have heard this if not said it. lol
That is why I think it actually feels good to walk about touching cats and having them swirl around me, both inside and out. Even when the outside cats don't swirl just seeing them sunning, playing and being cats is such a pleasant experience, there is a physical sensation I associate with it. There is a lightness around and about me. I feel the opposite of how one feels when life has them weighed down.
One of my favorite activities in the world is to walk outside and smoke a joint.
That is what I would wish for everyone - to smoke a great joint while outside...You can walk or sit and write or talk or take pictures or whatever. A joint and a safe outside place are 2 great, wonderful things that become very wonderful when combined.

These days I only keep Randy's Wired papers. |

I agree no loss...lol There’s nothing more dangerous than a hurricane that’s still intensifying while making landfall Tomorrow morning the pictures coming out of the west coast of Florida, and most especially out of the big bend area will be jaw dropping |

Getting old, it is all about not being frail or becoming frail. I get these notices with my seniors. Food package about frailty and how to avoid it.... Someone once told me if you don't stop dancing, you never grow old This how mom went. She stopped eating. Told me she wasnt feeling well. But then told me to leave her alone when I said we'll take you to the hospital. Wasnt drinking water.. He hip was giving her a lot of pain, she wouldnt recover from that either because she wasnt eating. cant force them to do anything as long as they can fight you off. they are their own person and right to choose their demise or life. She chose to die. Ive been way more active with my job and life in general, like non stop energizer squirrell but have massive amounts of joint pains, muscle aches. I quit drinking 100% in Feb. Id cut back in Nov when I started at the airport. Then I was getting nose bleeds like bad. Jokes around hanger I found a lot of white powder in a return from Miami. haha. Or I walked into a propeller. Life Flight Helicopter is right on our property they come over and looked at me one day because my co workers called them. My blood pressure was high and my blood was thinning lack of iron. Fixed that and boom muscle pains more than my normal. WTF NOW!! Turns out not getting enough protein. |
