The new album is Meh' I get the daughter promo stuff. but clearly not the best works. On an Island was amazing flow from song to song. Id see him, if he came this way and I could afford it.

I remember mentioning this before, but I've considered making carbon fiber caskets, shaped like Photon Torpedoes from Star Trek. I'm sure there's no way anyone would license me, so each would have to be a unique "artwork". Fair enough, the interior is where most of the important stuff will be anyway. 
 
I only wonder if anyone would ever commission such a thing. As I look at coffin ads I see a lot of the same stuff I've seen since the 60s. They look like a massive section of rail steel with handles and a Dutch door lid. Then there's some nice looking wood caskets, but they still look like something from centuries ago. I believe there are some wealthy nerds who might want to be interred in a torpedo. 
 
But, how far would they be willing to go? Instead of lingering in the ground until the planet spins apart on the odd hope your torpedo is found, you're cloned, and you become a emperor, what if they hasten the trip and go up? You could probably loft a dozen into a high orbit with a Delta-3. 

One of the things I wish I had archived from Tree Fort was the card game I was trying to conceive with the help of 6 and Kick Frenzy. It was to be a post-crash kind of game made with whatever cards can be found.

It would be a way for disconnected communities to entertain themselves but eventually all of the cards might be known from their back side, essentially marking the game. So adding more cards would help randomize the basic game and local rules might form if contact is fleeting or rare. 
 
There were others who contributed, but I can't go back and find all the innovations we came up with so you could have a hand with a 10 of clubs, a Mystery Date Dud, a Pokemon, Community chest, Uno........a deck that allows 7 cards each and a decent pile for the game. 
 
So if someone made a vB backup, even early in the game, we did most of the talking in the first year then Kick vanished, I'd like to know. 

As a senior prank a group of the school's known delinquents decided that it should snow, at school. We spent the day tearing paper into small pieces until each of us had a lunch bag full. The school had a mount for a telescope on the roof, so access was very easy. We emptied the paper bits into a large garbage bag and two of us stayed on the roof to dump it once the others had a clean alibi. 
 
There was barely any wind so we opened the big black bag and dumped the paper down, above the front entrance. Then we raced down the stairs and cut over to the gym and sat in the stands like the bums we were. It's not like there was any evidence on us. It was all over the school's front lawn and the school was a sea of angry teachers and administrators trying to figure out who could have done such a thing.
 
I saw a picture years later of the school with all that chaff falling. It did look like snow.
