After all, this place started out as a lifeboat. I've been thinking that this group has been ditched at least twice now, so even with the childish perpetual arguments it's a tad remarkable that we've had this much tenacity. It's just a forum of a forum of a forum, Plato would be proud! The one regret I have now is that this site somehow ended up being promoted by ProBoards and as a result is regularly scanned for "unpleasantness" and when they find something (the first time it was a post Irm made in 2020 that they flagged a few months ago). So the site is no longer off the radar and has to conform to public rules from here on out. I set up a spare site back in 2020 to sandbox changes here while I was still trying to figure things out. So far it's still below the radar. If we really need that kind of flexibility in terms of what we say, that's the next place to go, skipforums.boards.net/It's wide open, anyone can join and so far nobody is scanning it. |

Sadly, That's Exactly What Is Happening Here.... Cheers Glen. It happened here before, it lasted nearly 4 years with barely any activity. There are a lot of digital ghost towns on ProBoards, it's an interesting phenomenon if you think about it. We're at a time when perpetually storing something that's barely ever accessed costs nothing or even pays for itself in some weird way (ads? Really?) We do seem to have a lot of guests. With all the feuds and vendettas here it's interesting we have not had more sign as members, just to jump into a mosh pit. |
