Sweet. That looks normal. I was watching the instructor play the song and I had to ask him, that's not what your tab says lol. And he said oh that's just basic melody, and then he sent me the proper tab. Yayyy. All those pull off's π’π’π’π’π’

Not getting lessons, just messaged the creator on youtube lol.
I've considered lessons just to try and get some of my timing right but that might a bit later.
It's not really my timing anyway it's just how I play because I'm still like a beginner in a way I play every string and not at the same speed for the most part although my slides are starting to sound different as I probabky exagerate them a bit now just to slow the notes down.

When you're in a hurry and need to save time so you come up with this wonderful, genius plan to save time... You put your jeans on while you're wearing shoes, the most logical. And everytime you do it, your shoe gets stuck and then you lose more time. And I still reckon I'll try this at least once more in my life.
And when I do it, just to make a point to myself that it is in fact, a wonderful, genius plan.. I'm going to reef those jeans up and give myself boot cut jeans because I'm not letting it best me my entire life. π

This song is graceful to play 3 fingerstyle. It's hard and I'm using a new tubing I've never used. This time I down tune 5th string from usual G to an F and my second string is tuned to C from a D.
And the moment I played the first two hammers to stsrt the song I could just hear it. It sounds so nice, but I obviously I play it slow as I'm learning it and I think it sounds even better to be slow and sung very softly.
And its hard because I'm doing lots of things I don't normally do like pulls of strings I normally wouldn't and also playing the same string up to 3x in a row and that's normally not what you'd do so I have to kinda learn which fingers to pick with because you obviously need your dominant fingers for individual string freed up to come back down the strings. So it's tricky. But it's fun and I can definitely hear the tune.

I'm still shopping for a wood stove. i had to have mine recertified when my boss bought this house....ive had 2 fires in it this year already...i have the brushes to clean out the pipes myself It's nowhere near as tight in West Georgia. Their primary complaint mechanism is opacity. Aside from that we can even burn coal if we like. If I was inclined to use coal, I'd build a domed pizza oven. Still, I'm curious how much coal would be needed and if it affords other heat extraction like a water coil. I'm putting the stove in my brick basement (not underground, but under the house) to heat only the house's underside so the floors aren't like ice. At the moment I'm using a space heater set to come on at 40F and a circulation fan (20X20 box fan with an R3 filter) so I don't worry much about frozen pipes. I considered radiant floor heating, but this above ground basement means that if I keep the space under the house warm, the whole house will require less from the methane-burning system. And that's the point, to reduce my need for public utilities incrementally. I read about too many people who go off grid cold turkey, as if a commitment ceremony of some sort. They ultimately go through an unnecessary rough patch. The incremental approach is how I go at this. I'm also catching all of this stuff on video in case of the odd chance I make a channel somewhere to help suburban survivalists!
